Sara joined the Home Builders Federation (HBF) in October 2016 to manage the Home Building Skills Partnership (HBSP)
With direct experience in the skills and training sector for over 20 years, Sara began her career with JHP Training (Now part of Learn Direct) encouraging young people and employers to develop and enhance their own skills through Apprenticeships as well as helping the long-term unemployed into work. Moving into construction, the following 10 years was spent with CITB on Qualifying the Workforce through employer engagement and Training Provider support and quality assurance. Leading and with responsibility for a national and head office based team, as Head of Commercial for the training division of CITB, Sara’s role also included engagement with employers of all sizes as well as key projects to support with skills and training requirements pertinent to their requirements.
More recently with West Anglia Training Association (WATA) as a key member of the Senior Management Team, her focus was to help shape and deliver the WATA 2020 vision and to ensure that WATA continued to grow its commercial skills and training offer and had access to sufficient revenue and capital funds to realise its curriculum and delivery strategy as well as its estates strategy and operational plans.
