Mark Harris BA Hons BTP MRTPI joined the Home Builders Federation in May 2014 as the Planning and Policy Advisory for Wales. Marks role includes representing HBF members across Wales, working closely with Welsh Government to help influence housing policies and regularly sits on a range of Welsh Government working groups. He provides evidence to National Assembly inquiries and liaises with each Local Planning Authority on their Local Development Plans and annual housing monitoring reports. Mark attends Local Development Plan Inquiries and responds to a range of consultations both planning and technical providing written submissions.
Prior to joining the HBF Mark gained over 20 years of experience as a planner in both the public and private sector, working as a Principal Regeneration Officer, Planning Manager for national house builder Bellway Homes Wales, Development Control Planner at Cardiff Council and Vale of Glamorgan Council and as a development consultant at GVA Grimley.
Mark was Chair of RTPI Cymru in 2015 and also sits on the Policy and Research forum.
