FTN Webinar: Nutrient Neutrality

Join HBF’s Director for Cities, James Stevens as he discusses some of the major issues facing the home building industry - nutrient neutrality and water neutrality.

Thousands of new homes are currently blocked or delayed as a result of Natural England's disproportionate ban on home building across 74 local authority areas. That's despite government's own research showing agricultural run-off and the inaction of water companies to be the root causes of phosphate and nitrate pollution in our country's rivers.

The next Future Talent Webinar will explore the actions being taken to address the #NutrientNeutrality issue and alleviate the impact on home builders.

James is a chartered town planner and is now the HBF’s director for cities – a newly created role to help the industry engage with the newly created Metro Mayors and Combined Authorities. James was previously the HBF’s strategic planner with responsibility primarily for London and the wider south east, but he also has extensive local plans and policy experience from all over England. James graduated from London South Bank University in 2007 with an MA distinction in town planning and was awarded RTPI student of his year.
