Since its launch in January 2014 Help to Buy Wales has helped 13,405 households buy new build homes, of which nearly 80% were first time buyers.
Mark Harris, HBF's Planning and Policy Advisor for Wales says: “We warmly welcome the Welsh Government’s extension of Help to Buy Wales, particularly at this time of market uncertainty. "
Harris continues: "With mortgage availability challenged, the move will support beleaguered purchasers and in turn underpin the supply of desperately needed new homes.
Harris concludes: "The return to a higher price cap (£300K from £250K) will also increase the availability of the scheme and help even more people realise their ambition of home ownership.
