To become an engineer within the home building sector, a key responsibility is an in-depth knowledge of the technical engineering function within a housing development. Understanding the structural and mechanical aspects of a development prior to site start and throughout a development's life cycle is also important as well as producing engineering drawings to respective tradespeople that detail the engineering elements of a house and the external infrastructure.
