Employer involvement and sponsorship
To take part in the Women into Home Building programme, employers must be members of the Home Builders Federation.
By sponsoring a candidate, you'll help shape the future of site management while benefiting from a more diverse talent pipeline. Sponsorship includes:
- Recruitment, sifting, and matching of candidates to your site(s)
- Delivery of industry and employability training during Insight Week
- Co-ordination of a two-week site placement
- Ongoing candidate support throughout the programme
Each sponsored candidate completes five days of online training followed by a two-week site placement at your chosen location, shadowing your site management team.
SME home builders are required to sponsor at least one opportunity per programme. Larger home builders may need to sponsor more than one candidate.
NHBC covers childcare and travel support for successful candidates. Employers are responsible for providing PPE (e.g. boots, high-vis jackets, helmets, gloves) during placements.
