HBF launched the Brickwork Masterclasses in 2019 to address common issues found by NHBC inspection teams, and has subsequently developed Roofing Masterclasses. The initiative is delivered as part of the Home Building Skills Sector Plan.

Fully-funded training for home builders and the supply chain
Funded by CITB and delivered by NHBC, the sessions have been developed in partnership with the Association of Brickwork Contractors (ABC) and the National Federation of Roofing Contractors and NHBC to offer practical skills and knowledge that address common faults.
Delivered on site and at regional training hubs
Home builders can organise to have sessions delivered onsite to reduce disruption to the working day, or tradespeople can book onto open sessions delivered at NHBC's multi-skill training hubs.
Book a Brickwork Masterclass
Providing practical skills and knowledge on common brickwork issues, these sessions will give your bricklayers confidence in key areas of good practice.
Book a Roofing Masterclass
Designed to upskill tradespeople at any stage of their career, these 90-minute sessions will help roofers get it right first time.
Since its launch more than 1,600 sessions have been delivered, upskilling over 15,000 tradespeople.
