Mark Behrendt

Planning Manager - Local Plans (London & South)

Mark joined the HBF in 2017 as the Planning Manager with responsibility for local planning matters across the South East and Eastern regions. His responsibilities include the review of local plans and the preparation of written representations to these plans, appearance at Examination Hearings and on-going engagement with Local Planning Authorities on evidence base supporting their plans.

Mark has over 20 years’ experience in policy research and development at both a national and local level, working at Sefton Borough Council, the Countryside Agency, the LGA, the London Borough of Richmond and, most recently, at Elmbridge Borough Council where he was the Council’s Planning Policy Manager.
