No agreement was reached on a change to pay rates under the WRA at last week’s meeting and at present no date has been set for any further discussions between the employer and operative sides. The existing, 2008, pay rates therefore continue to apply until further notice. There has, however, been agreement on changes to fare and subsistence allowances. Below is a copy of the agreed promulgation on these. Fare (not taxed) and subsistence allowances increase from Monday 28th June by the March RPI figure (4.4%). The travel allowance (taxed) increases by the same percentage that basic rates increase. As basic rates have not been increased so the travel allowance has remained unchanged.
