As set out in newsletters, etc., HBF submitted its RSD proposals to ODPM, meeting the very tight timetable set by government when the project first commenced. These proposals have been published by ODPM for public consultation purposes on 18th August - the closing date for responses is 10th November. ODPMs announcement refers to the "the possible use of Robust Standard Details as an alternative to Pre-Completion Testing" - full details can be found on the http://www.odpm.gov.uk/pns/DisplayPN.cgi?pn_id=2003_0168(ODPM website) Whether or not The Minister feels able to act to remove the prospect of mandatory post-construction sound testing before the January 2004 commencement date will now depend on how these proposals are received by consultees and other interested parties.
