New appointments to HBF: Technical & Sustainability Director and Regional Planning Manager confirmed
The Home Builders Federation (HBF) has appointed Rhodri Williams as Technical and Sustainability Director and Rachel Danemann as Planning Manager. Both new recruits will take up their roles early February.
Rhodri joins the Federation from Vistry Partnerships West where he held the position of Head of Technical.
Having worked in the home building industry for almost 25 years, Rhodri has accumulated a wealth of experience in various technical roles with major developers, including Kier Living, Barratt South Wales, Persimmon Wales and Westbury.
Rachel Danemann joins the HBF team this month as a Regional Planning Manager.
Most recently Rachel held the role of Principal Planning Policy Officer at Harborough District Council. Bringing solid planning experience to HBF, she will be focused on representing the interests of members in planning matters across the Midlands and South West.
On Rhodri’s appointment, Neil Jefferson, HBF’s Managing Director, said: “This is a pivotal time for the homebuilding industry, so we’re really pleased to have Rhodri join us. He brings a breadth of experience and is well known to HBF as he has chaired the Wales Technical Committee since 2013.”
HBF Planning Director Sam Stafford said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Rachel to the HBF’s Planning Team. As we are seeing right now local plans are absolutely critical to maintaining a consistent supply of land for HBF members to build on and Rachel’s experience will help us to champion the cause of having up-to-date and ambitious local plans across the country’.
