The Government has published its long awaited draft Heritage Protection Bill. It contains a series of major reforms to the heritage protection system in England and as such should be noted by house builders.
The draft bill, if enacted, will repeal almost all the substantive legislation on which the current system of heritage protection is based. The key reforms are listed in the briefing below.
