New build construction of houses and apartment blocks. (Customer satisfaction).

PLEASE DESCRIBE WHAT YOU DO ON A DAY-TO-DAY BASIS?

- Organise trades and labour for daily tasks on site.

- Book trades and labour for up ad coming workload.

- Order material for new and ongoing works.

- Complete daily registers/general paperwork

- Assist Site Manager in any tasks that arise.

- Liaise with purchasers if needed.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT WHAT YOU DO?

You are given an element of freedom to run the site as you see fit, as long as you are within the company rules, with this you get a lot of responsibility and have the chance of becoming a good Site Manager or more.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS CAREER?

I was driving a forklift truck before becoming a Trainee Assistant and wanted to better my prospects, I was offered a chance to join the site management team and took it.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DID YOU NEED TO GET THIS JOB?

At the time you need to be keen, willing and hardworking.

IS THERE ANY PARTICULAR ADVICE YOU WOULD GIVE A GRADUATE OR TRAINEE LOOKING FOR A JOB IN YOUR WORK AREA?

Don’t do it if you think its going to be easy just walking around site all day, because you’ll have a shock!
