HBF North West home building careers event returns for 2025
Exhibition space is free for local home builders and associated businesses to promote career opportunities to local students
The Home Builders Federation (HBF) and Haydock Park Racecourse are joining forces once again to deliver the annual North West home building careers event on Friday 26 September.
Part of the racecourse’s Home Builders Day, the event provides a valuable opportunity for industry to connect with local students who have an interest in pursuing careers within the industry, and network with regional colleagues and peers.
Now in its fourth year, the event has been developed by Haydock in partnership with HBF to showcase the career paths and opportunities available to the next generation, with around 250 young people and 25 regional businesses in attendance last year.
Home builders and connected businesses from within the industry are invited to take up free exhibitor space.
Tracey Hill, Project and Contracts Manager at the Home Builders Federation, says: “Engaging young people as they consider their future careers helps to open their eyes to the many opportunities and routes to entry available. Events like Home Builders Day play a vital role in connecting local employers and future recruits, strengthening the talent pipeline and increasing the number of students who successfully transition from education to the industry.”
James Rennard, Head of Marketing at The Jockey Club (North West) says: “We’re delighted to be playing host once again to the Home Building careers event in conjunction with the HBF. The construction industry is one of the most important in this country and it’s fantastic to be able to offer up a platform for hundreds of enthusiastic young people to see what it has to offer.
Haydock Park is a community racecourse and we’re passionate about showcasing its ability to be more than a sports venue. The event has been a great success so far and we’re looking forward to offering more young people opportunities to engage with a potential future career.”
The careers event runs from 9.30am to 11.30am and is followed by an afternoon of racing and networking with industry peers.
