CREST NICHOLSON CEO JOINS HBF BOARD

14 October, 2011

Crest Nicholson chief executive Stephen Stone has joined the Board of the Home Builders Federation.

Speaking before today’s board meeting, at which Mr Stone will be appointed, Stewart Baseley said; “I am delighted that Stephen is joining the HBF board.  He has played an active role in the work of HBF for many years. His wealth of experience and appetite to improve the climate in which the industry operates – particularly with regards to the sustainability agenda - will supplement and enhance the skills of the existing board members.”

Stephen Stone said; “The HBF does a huge amount of work to support house builders and drive forward delivery for the industry. Despite the challenges of the last few years, this is an exciting time to join the team and the imperative must now be for the industry and its stakeholders to work together to pursue the ultimate goal of unlocking the housing market.”

As a chartered architect Stephen Stone started his career working at a number of London based architectural practices before joining Countryside Properties in 1983.  From Countryside he joined Crest Nicholson in 1995, and was appointed to the Board of Crest Nicholson in 1999.  In 2005 he became Crest Nicholson's Chief Executive.
