The Home Builders Federation has welcomed research conducted by the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) which shows that 91% of people are satisfied with the quality of their new homes. Responding, Executive Chairman of the Home Builders Federation Stewart Baseley says: “CABE’s research indicates that homebuilders are very successful in meeting the needs of new home buyers. “However, the report identifies improvements to the wider design of housing developments could be made. Realising such improvements and making new communities stronger and safer, as residents desire, involves a partnership approach. This should include planners and local authorities working closely with homebuilders, as recommended by the recent Callcutt Review. “The research presents a challenge for planners and homebuilders alike. For their part, our members will continue to ensure that their homes are built to the highest quality.” - Ends - Notes for Editors 1.
