One year on from the introduction of mandatory Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), its practical implementation is proving to be more complex and complicated than many expected.

The Home Builders Federation hosted a live webinar to discuss the ongoing work to address issues being raised by industry and the future challenges ahead according to BNG experts.

Chaired by our Regional Planning Manager and BNG lead, Rachel Danemann explored issues being raised in relation to small sites and the activity being taken to address constraints.

Additionally, Helen Nyul, Group Head of Biodiversity at Barratt Redrow, provided a perspective on the regulations and the challenges facing larger home builders.

Attendees had the opportunity to submit questions and share experiences with our speakers.
