Before you start

This form can be completed by representatives of home building organisations who would like to find out more about taking part in future cohorts of the Women into Home Building Programme.

To take part in the programme you will need to:

• have Home Builders Federation membership
• sponsor a minimum of one opportunity per programme.
• provide sponsorship to cover the recruitment, sifting and matching of the women to your site(s), industry and employability training in the insight week, work placement co-ordination, and support.
• provide PPE to candidates for the duration of their work placement. This may include boots, high-visibility jackets, helmets, and gloves, where appropriate.

NHBC will cover the cost of travel and childcare support as required by each successful candidate.

The programme is delivered by Pathways CTM who, along with our team, will support you and the candidates throughout the programme.

Employer commitment

• Employers sponsor each candidate at a cost of £1500 plus VAT. 50% of this cost is payable upfront, and the remaining payable when a candidate is matched to your site and the placement is filled.*
• By sponsoring a candidate, employers are committing to host a woman on site for two weeks, give her site management experience, insight, tasks to do, and interview experience.
• Employers must provide PPE for candidates carrying out placements on their sites.

If the candidate impresses you and you are able to offer her an employment opportunity as a Trainee Assistant Site Manager or any other suitable role, that is great, although there is no compulsory requirement for your organisation to fulfil this. Women will walk away with more insight, knowledge, experience, and confidence to seek out opportunities in the industry.
