SOLD OUT - PLEASE CONTACT 020 7960 1646 IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE ADDED TO THE WAITING LIST.

Secretary of State, Rt Hon Michael Gove MP, is our keynote speaker and heads up a list of high-level political and industry experts.

With 2024 almost certainly set to be an election year and housing high on the political agenda, the HBF Policy Conference will seek to throw light on the key issues facing the new homes industry this year.

The conference will explore the attitudes of the main political parties to the new homes sector as they jostle for position to find the key to attracting the votes of the British electorate. Will there be new government initiatives to boost the market? Will the opposition parties explain in more detail how they would boost new homes supply?

The conference will examine the state of the market which has had a bumpy ride since interest rates started rising and the cost of living crisis hit hard. Our experts will look at the outlook for new homes sales, interest rates and mortgages in 2024 and beyond.

Planning remains key to the sector and a major challenge for housebuilders of all sizes. Speakers will analyse the planning landscape and examine the implications of the revised National Planning Policy Framework.

Environmental, sustainability and quality issues will continue to emerge this year with the Future Homes Consultation to the fore and new Biodiversity Net Gain requirements in force and the conference will look at these and what housebuilders need to know to meet the standards coming down the track.
