Development Plans

DPDs have replaced the Local Plan and have the same status for decision-making. All Local Planning Authorities must prepare a Core Strategy DPD, which sets out a vision for the future of the area, with the primary policies and proposals for meeting that vision. Other types of DPD include Site Specific Allocations (including housing) and Development Control Policies. Local Planning Authorities may prepare Area Action Plans (AAPs) in order to address areas of major change, such as regeneration or growth initiatives.

HBF seeks to engage in and comment upon all key stages in the preparation of these documents where their content may adversely affect the house building industry. Copies of our written submissions and representations are set out below.
