Heat pumps have been designed to be energy efficient and do not produce carbon emissions when in operation. Given the government's Net Zero target pledge, it is important that home building incoporates this in the design of new homes and becomes greener.
BESA has been awarded funding from the government to deliver a credited training course in support of the Green Homes Grant Voucher Scheme. The new course will upskill qualified plumbing and heating engineers to correctly install and maintain domestic air source heat pumps. But be quick there are only 700 free training places available.

The course will available from March 2021 through the BESA Academy online learning platform. Individuals will have a choice to do there course through the following options:
- online through the BESA.Academy platform (The online course will involve proctoring for the assessment)
- in person at one of our approved training centres (for engineers in England only)
- via blended learning - a mixture of online and face to face training (for engineers in England only)
All training will need to be completed by mid-May in order to qualify as a fully funded place.
