HBF are keen to support our members and their supply chain to access the Kickstart Scheme launched by DWP to fund employers to create a new 6-month job placement for young people age 16 – 24 on Universal Credits.  

Funding Available

£1500 upfront payment for set up costs, support and training plus 100% of the relevant national minimum wage, associated National Insurance and employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions for a 25 hour week, per placement for 6 months.

Duration of Scheme

The scheme will run from Nov 2020 to June 2022 – 18 months. Employers can spread the start date of the job placements up until December 2021.

Employability Support

During the placement, each participant should receive employability support to improve their chances of future employment. If you need help providing this resource HBF can help – find out more here
