HBF Technical Conference 2019

HBF Technical Conference, 18 September, Birmingham

Standards, regulations and technical targets continue to evolve and the housebuilding industry is working hard to keep abreast of the changes.

This year’s HBF Technical Conference will explore and examine the technical landscape of the industry and provide key information to help your business keep abreast of developments.

Sustainability and climate change continue to drive the agenda and the housebuilding sector is already feeling the effects of this  - and is likely to see more change in this area in the future. In this year’s Spring statement the chancellor introduced the Future Homes Standard that will drive housebuilders to deliver homes with “world leading” energy efficiency standards featuring low carbon heating. Alex Lochead of the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy will speak to the Technical Conference about the impact of the Future Homes Standard.

There will also be updates on standards and regulation changes from NHBC standards and technical manager Paul Cribbens as well as an expert panel debating and discussing the challenges of all aspects of the utility sector. The panel will feature experts from the utility contracting side as well as Stephanie Edwards from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles.

With so much going on for the technical side of the industry, the HBF Technical Conference is a must attend for housebuilders, architects, contractors and suppliers.
