HBF appoints Peter Andrew

ex TWUK board member becomes new deputy chairman

HBF has appointed Peter Andrew as its new Deputy Chairman from the start of November.

He was also one of the four practitioners who helped draft the National Planning Policy Framework for then Planning Minister Greg Clarke. He will work three days a week for HBF in an executive capacity.

HBF Executive Chairman Stewart Baseley said; “I am delighted that Peter will be joining us as Deputy Chairman. With housing at the very top of the political agenda, HBF is heavily involved working on members’ behalf to help influence and develop Government policy. Peter’s experience at a very senior level within then industry and also of working with Government to develop policy will supplement and enhance HBF’s existing management team. Peter will work with me and the team to shape HBFs work moving forward at this critical time for housing policy.”

Peter Andrew said today; “I am extremely pleased to be joining HBF at what is a critical juncture for housebuilding in this country. Increasing the number of new homes being built is now a key priority for the Government and the country in general.
