HBF Consumer facing 'why buy new' fact sheets

Dear member,

Improving the image of our industry is one of a number of priorities for HBF. In conjunction with our Marketing and Communications Group, we are currently developing a series of work streams in this regard. We will forward more details in due course but ongoing work includes the development of a web site aimed at demonstrating the range of career opportunities for young people in house building; and a project to model the wider economic benefits house building provides the country.

As part of this image work, we have developed a number of ‘Why buy new’ consumer-facing factsheets. We’ve taken care to have them designed to be equally suitable for a web-based audience or for use in marketing suites and show homes.

The topics covered in the first six (we will be producing another 4 in the future) are:

  • Cost of upgrading old to new – it can cost £45k to bring a second hand home up to the standard of a new build
  • Why new homes are of superior quality compared to old – detailing the quality of material used in new build homes (two versions)
  • New is greener – energy efficiency and cost saving benefits of new builds
  • Peace of mind when buying new – quality & warranties
  • Reasons to buy new
  • Ways to buy new – detailing the ways buyers can be assisted to purchase a new build.

The factsheets can now be downloaded in print ready format from the HBF website by clicking here. They can be downloaded either with the HBF logo on, or white-labelled so you can include your own company logo.
