Planning Update

Dear HBF member

Details of DCLG S106 Renegotiation Programme

At the last round of regional planning meetings I mentioned that DCLG had launched a mediation project for the renegotiation of S106 agreements. Although originally launched with juts a few local planning authorities the scheme is now being extended to be available in any local planning authority area.

The details of the project, including the necessary criteria needed to meet the scheme requirements, can now be found on the HCA website at:

Applications should be submitted to the HCA using the form attached to the above link before the end of the year.

Community Infrastructure Update  - Free Event 17 December, London

You may also recall at the regional planning meetings that I mentioned that we have been working with DCLG and the BPF to address a number of emerging problems with CIL, particularly the existing statutory guidance and Regulations. We are expecting new guidance to be published before the end of the year.

With this in mind I am pleased to be able to invite you to a free event to discuss the proposed changes. This is being held at 17.00-19.00 on Monday 17th December at the offices of Hogan Lovells International LLP, Atlantic House, Holborn Viaduct, London. EC1A 2FG. Speakers include Mark Lee, DCLG Deputy Director responsible for CIL, John Rhodes, QUOD and myself.

Should you wish to attend please can you advise Ben Lees at BPF:

Many thanks to Hogan Lovells for their sponsorship of this seminar.
