Dear Member,

Home Building Skills Partnership - baseline survey of industry position

The new Home Building Skills Partnership is commencing its substantive work to identify the key training and skills requirements for the industry and to develop and implement measures to meet these. The Partnership’s aim is to focus on priorities that are of common interest to companies and to promote collaborative solutions that all can benefit from.

So that we can establish baseline information to enable the Partnership to prioritise action, and subsequently monitor success against these priorities, we sent out a short online questionnaire last month and have had a good response to this. We would, however, welcome further companies providing input as we are keen to make sure we have as strong an initial evidence base as possible. We would therefore be very grateful if your company could complete a short online questionnaire that you can access via the following link:

Homebuilding Skills Partnership 2016 Survey

The survey has been drawn up by Skyblue Research who are assisting us with monitoring and evaluation of the Partnership’s work. The survey responses will go through to Skyblue, who will fully respect confidentiality and aggregate the results to inform the decisions taken by the Partnership.

We want the survey to be as light touch as possible and if you do not hold specific information or records on any question your estimate of the position would be acceptable. We are also happy to receive either single corporate or group responses or responses from the business unit level depending on your preferences in this regard. If you cannot complete the questionnaire in one visit, you can also save what you have answered and return to the survey.

As we are looking to bring the data together and analyse this in the next month, we would be grateful for further responses to the survey by the close of 4 Octoner.

With thanks,

John Slaughter
