HBF delegates day to day management to HBF Ltd which reports to members annually at the AGM and works with Council to ensure that its activity is fully aligned with members' priorities.

The Board of HBF is chaired by Stewart Baseley and its directors are drawn from the major, medium size and smaller member companies to ensure that the full range of member interests are properly represented.

Housebuilder media

HBF's subsidiary company Housebuilder Media is the leading information provider for the housebuilding industry, serving the market through publications and industry events.

 

HBM publishes the monthly market leading title Housebuilder which is circulated free to HBF members and has a total circulation of 20,000. The magazine is also published online through the www.house-builder.co.uk website which provides news updates and news alerts to registered users. HBM also publishes Housing Market Report and the annual Housing Marketing Intelligence report.

 

The Housing Market Intelligence report is launched each year at HBM's highly successful Housing Market Intelligence conference which this year hosted Margaret Beckett's first speech to the industry as Housing Minister.

 

Housebuilder Media runs a range of events including HBF's annual Policy, Planning and Technical conferences. In 2008 HBM ran conferences on Water Regulations and the Future of Building Control and also staged the successful Housing Futures conference and workshops in Nottingham.

 

The HBF/Housebuilder magazine Housebuilding Innovation Awards are run annually by HBM to recognise excellence in the industry and in 2008 attracted a sell out 350 guests to the Millennium Mayfair Hotel in London.

New homes marketing board


The New Homes Marketing Board (NHMB) was established in 1982 to promote the benefits to the consumer of new homes.

The activity of NHMB is coordinated by HBF's Marketing Department. David Pretty has recently taken the role of Non-Executive Chairman of the New Homes Marketing Board.

Members are encouraged to contribute to this promotional work for the benefit of the new homes industry and to utilise the work of the NHMB to support their own public relations at a regional and local level.
