Having started his career in building back in 1969, Dave spent some 30 years working in the housebuilding industry. For most of his career he dealt with housing design and the regulatory side of the industry.
Dave joined HBF in June 2005 and has continued his predecessors' efforts to cultivate better relations with government and to promote a better understanding of the technical issues facing developers in the 21st century.

| John has worked in construction for 30 years in rail, water, roads and manufacturing. His role in Construction Products Association covers technical issues such as building regulations as well as innovation, health and safety. In his view doing things better and doing better things are both needed in housebuilding. |
| Iain has worked for Bellway for 44 years. He started his career in the Architects Department rising to the position of Regional Architect for the North West of England. Iain is now Group Product development Manager responsible for exploring and developing new ways to build new homes. |
| Having joined Redrow in 1997, Nigel achieved promotion to Technical Director in 1999, and has headed research and development as Redrow's Group Product Development Director since 2001. He is a qualified Civil Engineer with 15 years experience in Civil Engineering and 17 years in housebuilding in both open market and social housing sectors. |

Marc's role at McCarthy & Stone is to take a proactive and innovative role in investigating and evaluating sustainable methods of construction, specification, energy use and conservation to ensure McCarthy & Stone build cost effectively and meet the growing requirements and expectations following the Government's recent 'Zero Carbon Emissions Within Ten Years' Policy.

Derric Heyden is The Group Technical Manager for David Wilson Homes part of the Barratt Developments PLC. The group builds over 20,000 houses a year. The team he works for design and produce all house types for DWH. Derric joined DWH 3 years ago having previously worked for Bovis, Bellway and Westbury Homes in an Architectural role on house types, structural and site design.
