Health and Safety
HBF members are committed to ensuring that all aspects of Health and Safety are a priority not only on all their sites but in their own offices as well.
The HBF has a Health and Safety Committee which for some years now has met jointly with the Housebuilders' Health and Safey Forum. The Committee reviews proposed legislation, Codes of Practice and other guidance with a view to providing comments on behalf of the industry. It also publishes news and information relating to Health and Safety matters. Minutes of the quarterly meetings are available to members.
In 2004 the HBF launched its Health and Safety Charter (PDF Help) backed by an Action Plan and the Committee set up seven working parties to look at key areas for development.
