About the Product: REHAU Awadukt Thermo is a ground-to-air heat exchanger system for controlled ventilation. It utilises the near constant temperature of the ground at 1.5m deep by drawing air through a network of underground pipes into the building. In the summer, the incoming air is pre-cooled by the ground by up to 14°C, whilst in the winter, the air is pre-warmed by up to 9°C. The inside of the pipe has a unique anti-microbial silver lining, which prevents microbe build up. The system provides the building with a constant source of fresh, filtered air, reducing the need for opening windows and air-conditioning. |
